Voluntary Reporting
To document the efforts and commitment of the legal profession to ensure equal access to justice, the Supreme Court of Ohio asked the Foundation to develop a means by which Ohio lawyers report, voluntarily and anonymously, pro bono activities and financial support for legal aid programs. The voluntary, anonymous reporting mechanism which launched in January of 2009.
In early January of each year, an email is sent to all Ohio attorneys with an active registration and an email address on file at the Ohio Supreme Court. In the email, attorneys are asked to report pro bono activity during the preceding calendar year by clicking on a link to a reporting website.
All information is collected without identifiers, so results remain anonymous.
