COLUMBUS, Ohio (Aug. 1, 2019) — The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation announced today that Clark Kellogg, basketball commentator and former Ohio State University three-year starter and Big 10 MVP, will deliver the keynote address at the Foundation’s 25th anniversary celebration on Sept. 19, 2019 at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus.
Kellogg’s career includes radio and television broadcasting for the Indiana Pacers, Cleveland State University, the Atlantic 10 and Big East TV Networks, ESPN, Westwood One, and CBS Sports. At CBS, he has been a lead studio and game analyst since 1997, and a familiar and trusted voice during March Madness.
“Clark Kellogg is not only a celebrity in the sports world, but he is also a dedicated philanthropist who is committed to giving back and making things better for those who struggle to be safe and stable,” said Angela Lloyd, executive director, Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation. “We could not think of a better person to convey our message of access to justice for all Ohioans.”
Themed “Justice is,” the 25th anniversary event will celebrate the Foundation’s 25 years of funding of life-changing civil legal help for over 4 million Ohio children, seniors, veterans and domestic violence survivors.
The legal problems experienced by low-income families are problems that impact family, health, safety and security, such as changing custody of children whose parents struggle with opioid addiction; accessing federal veterans benefits for homeless, low-income vets; obtaining civil protection orders to provide safety and protection for survivors of domestic violence; and challenging mortgage foreclosures for low-income seniors whose family homes are at risk.
At the event, attendees will learn more about civil legal aid and access to justice initiatives, to help ensure fairness for all Ohioans in the justice system, regardless of income.

The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation improves fairness and access to justice for all Ohioans. Established in 1994, the Foundation funds Ohio’s legal aids through the IOLTA/IOTA program, a civil filing fee surcharge, and donations. Legal aid helps families, children, veterans, seniors, and other Ohioans struggling to make ends meet get back on their feet and on the road to self-sufficiency. Through the Foundation’s work, Ohioans have access to legal help, advice, and representation, which ensures fairness for all in the justice system.
