The Ohio Legal Assistance Foundation's pro bono mission is three-fold:
First, the Foundation provides a statewide leadership role to help increase the availability of civil legal aid to low-income and vulnerable Ohioans through pro bono legal help provided by volunteer attorneys.
Second, the Foundation is a catalyst and source of support for the development of new statewide and local pro bono initiatives.
Third, the Foundation works to increase the capacity of existing pro bono providers, including legal aids and bar associations, to more efficiently and effectively engage volunteers.
Foundation pro bono staff works with legal aid and bar association pro bono professionals to support the involvement of the private bar in providing pro bono legal help to low-income and disadvantaged Ohioans.
